Getting Creative with Window Coverings

After I learned that one of my dear friends was running out of ideas of things to make in her pottery class, I decided I could help her out. We took a pattern from one of the fabrics in Kay’s home, and “copied” it onto some pottery medallions. Fired and painted and glazed, we included a couple of holes inside so they could be tied onto our cornice boxes. Although the cornices were quite an issue to transport from the workroom to Kay’s home, they have become another one of ...

From Floors to Ceilings

I met Joanie at a What Women Want conference, and was intrigued by her displays. She worked with us redoing our major living areas, including kitchen, entry and great room. We did floors, furnishings, window coverings and accessories. She took our love of nature and color and made our home both comfortable and beautiful. We loved working with her as she listened to what we wanted and was very enthusiastic about the improvements she could make. We had a WONDERFUL experience working with Joanie….Linda in Washington

Goodbye Fluorescents

We needed to update an outdated Summerlin kitchen with the dreaded fluorescent ceiling light…. Our contractor redid the ceiling entirely; we added recessed lights, a drum shade over the table and, yes, a fan with a downlight. (No, it doesn’t cool off the food – just the chef….) Then we replaced the dated countertops with granite and installed a backsplash of pseudo-”mother-of-pearl” mosiac tiles. Now they create dinners in style!

Gail and George’s Updated Bathroom

Whew! Seems like I just got this completed, but its been over 2 months now. They are, hopefully, enjoying this completely redone space. We tore out the tub, and replaced it with the oversized shower, added a standing linen closet, and a small one on the counter tops. We then infused the whole area with spa features, like double shower heads and the Delta Infiniti dual shower head (stationery and hand-held). Topped it off with travertine and a spa color and Wow!

Dale’s Master Bath Remodel

Recently completed remodeling a dated Master Bath with a totally, rather masculine, new look. Dale’s (our client) comments follow:

“I had chosen ARRANGE! to remodel my master bath. Avis worked closely with her general contractor and using my preferences for shower fixtures and tile, she designed the space and chose some great looking furniture and fixtures. She implemented some space saving ideas – extended the old shower wall into the closet to gain extra space for the storage cabinet and seating area, and installed two pocket doors. While I was a bit apprehensive ...

Shirley’s Kitchen Mini-Makeover

Hello…I spoke to this lovely lady the other day about some design items and had to share the magic that happened in her kitchen with just some paint application, one called gel stain. You can see that her cabinets were dated oak, and quite yellowed. Several professionally applied coats of medium cherry gel stain not only cleans them up, but updates them for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets, and even less than new cabinet doors. And we like it so much, we extended the ...

Neal’s desert home

1/26/11 – Just wanted to share a photo and customer’s comments about a completed project. Check our Gallery for more Neal’s home photos.

“Avis created my retirement haven! I had two years to redecorate the lower level of my new Las Vegas home in anticipation of my move from Los Angeles. We completed the work in stages and within budget. As the surroundings evolved, each time I visited it was “WOW, what a difference!” In fact, I was so happy with the interior, I asked her to landscape the exterior. I am ...
